Over heating issues
I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with the
4.7 v8 I replaced water pump and thermostat and it
is over heating bottom hose not hot and heat isn't
that good what could be the problem?
Did it overheat prior to the water pump replacement? If not, it sounds like it might be airlock, meaning you need to bleed the coolant system of all air. Water pumps technically don't pump water through the engine/radiator/hoses.. They moreso encourage it to flow.. So if there is air trapped near a higher point in the system, the water"pump" may not be providing enough "encouragement" to overcome the airlocked spot in the system. Look for an air bleeder.. Should be near the highest point in the coolant system.
