Interior light problem in 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

As of two days ago my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo interior lights stay on all the
time. They turn on when the ignition is cranked on, driving  around they remain on.
They stay on until the automatic battery saver turns them off. It is not the light dial on
the turn signal lever, they actually get brighter when I turn it all they way. I fixed two
different wires, the big black one and the big orange and white one, in the door car-
frame area, where other people have had their problems. I pulled the interior light
fuses and even disconnected the car battery for an hour. What can I do to fix it.
