What is the solution for no tail lights in 2001 grand jeep cherokee?

Our tail lights went out and we can't figure out the solution. all fuses seem good, changed sockets and bulbs. all other lights work but we do have a periodic problem with passenger window and door locks not working.

would take a good long look at the ground chassis connection from the battery to the frame, clean it shiny and put the ground lug back, also the connection to the engine block should be this beefy 1/0 battery cable as well, your tail lights cannot find the ground~
Check for power with a meter. If you have power, check for continuity to ground.
good information as usual...trying to piggyback on this question-bought a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Larado all lights worked fine until i took it to a mechanic & he put a radio in...now no lights in the rear, no hazard lights! should i look at the fuse panel since its so old? replace fuses/bulbs, etc
check the wires coming from the firewall inside of the driver's side door. Normally,that wire coming from the firewall inside of the driver's side door is broken.
