Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi
I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee with approx 266,000 Km I have been having intermitent problem with starting the engine.  Sometime it start like a breeze but sometime it just wont start.  I have change the Crank sensor witch I tought solve the problem but to my surprise it is starting to act again..  I also change the ignition barrel about a year ago and problem started a few months after.  I wonder if their is any switch or sensor that would be defective.

After attempting and it doesn't work sometime trying latter and it starts so I have no clue what problem it has so any help would be greatfull

Regards

Have you checked the wires at the starter? If they are loose or corroded that will cause the issue you describe. It is possible the starter is going bad and only works when it wants to. It sounds like a wiring issue to me though. I would check the simple stuff first.
