Why is my Jeep stalling when I'm coming to a stop or idling?

I've owned my jeep about a year and have never
really had problems with it stalling on me until
now.  I've tired numerous things, but nothing
seems to fix it. My engine light recently came on
and I only pulled up a small evap leak, so I started
by putting a new gas cap on, but that didn't help. It
seems fuel related because when it stalls, it will
start right back up. Any suggestions on things to
check.??

This happened to me when I owned a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, does the idle get noticeably rough just before it dies?

Sometimes, but usually when it stalls it shuts off really clean.

Does the check engine light come on? If so get the code(s) read at a local autoparts store and post the codes here or do some "googling".

I had this problem. It was actually on left turns it would stall because some wires were exposed and they would short the PCM. The other thing to do is change the TPS and crank and camshaft position sensors. Those sensors need replacing for everything to work in harmony. 20 year old sensors no good
