My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited has no taillights – brakes, flashers/turn signals and reverse/backup lights all operate fine. Replaced the turn signal/multi-function switch first because turn signals were not turning off after turn was completed. Within a day car wouldn’t start because battery was dead so battery was replaced. The next time out driving at night, another motorist alerted us that our taillights were not working. We aren’t sure when this problem started tho. We checked fuses, got new bulbs and a couple bulb sockets but still no taillights. Lots of stuff online but most ended up replacing entire rear light assemblies so that’s what we did. We need some helpful advice asap can’t drive at night.

Are the head lights on your turn signal switch? If so make such that all the pins in the plugs got put back in all the way.
