My jeeep grand cherokee turns on for 3
secs and shuts off gauge dont go up it
says its empty but i just put 20 in my gas
tank

Just a guess, but i'd say the fuel pump in the tank has given up its all finally. The reason it doesn't read is because the fuel gauge sensor in the tank has finally quit also. new fuel pump and sending unit is the answer here.
