Based on your info I looked up ZJ platorm and it said that was for years 1993 thru 1998. 1999 thru 2004 is a different platform WJ. Thanks again! but I believe my research to be correct.

i have a 98 jeep grand cherokee need a transmission with 4.0 motor will any other jeep transmission fit or dose it have to be a grand cherokee
