1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I am having a problem with my Jeep
starting. Somtime, when I start it, the
emgine wont turn over, aand I have to
attemp to start it again several times
(Somtime I have to press on the gas some
for it to start). It also has a tendancy to shut
off while idle, and has only ever shut off in
the middle of driving twice. Just looking for
some thoughts

Sounds like you are running the battery down when trying to start, just charge the battery back up, then it may be a fuel issue, should have the fuel pressure checked. May be a bad fuel pump or fuel regulator.
