constant power to vehicle

I was recently 4x4ing in the river and flooded my
truck with water. Pulled it out pulled plugs pumped
the water out the motor. It started ran drove it
back home parked it. The next day i went to start
it the battery was dead so i jumped it. The thing is
when i put the jumper cables on it The instrument
panel instantly powered on with out the key in.tried
starting it wouldent start till i gave it gas wouldent
idle so i kept giving it gas to stay running. I turn
the key off while giving it gas and it will stay
running? What could this be constant power with
out key wont stay running unless fluttering the
gas?

Something got wet and shorted out, maybe a relay in the fuse box or something similar. You could get some compressed air and remove things one at a time from the fuse / relay box and blow them dry. This may or may not work. You also might consider changing the front and rear differential fluid and the transmission and engine oil or at least inspect them all for any sign of water.
