car wont start

Hi I have a 99 audi A4 quattro 5 speed 1.8
turbo it was driving fine all day i went and
put gas drove it fine then parked kept the
car on and all a sudden it was acting like it
was running out of gas and i pressed on the
gas a little and it shut off that was 3 days
ago i still cant turn it on i hear the fuel pump
and when i turn it on it shuts of quick i have
tried giving gas to see if it would stay on but
as soon as i press the gas it shuts of what
could it be

Sound like the fuel pump. You can verify by checking the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge.
