Radiator upper hose very hot, what is proper temp and should hose be that hot

3,135

Depends on the thermostat that is installed (180 degree or 195 degree). Generally the radiator hoses will get very hot to the touch. The radiator hoses will reach at least 200 degrees and can get even hotter with the hood closed and the engine up at the normal operating temperature.
