Key stuck in the ignition

I recently bought a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Laredo
from a friend who is moving to Hawaii when I
bought the vehicle the key was stuck in the
ignition. I tried a few things but the key is stuck
I can turn it on and off and start the vehicle but
I cannot remove the key

Take your cover off to where I see the ignition naked and there will be a little hole turn off and poke something in that hole and while pushing turn your key forward or backwards not sure on jeep and u should be able to take switch out and it might help u see why it's stuck

Again as I told the other Cherokee owner as these are similar in way to a Durango may be your tumbler going bad luckily I got my key out by turning the wheel to the right just right
