Vehicle Information Center Zeroing Out While Car is Running

Hi,

I have a '94 Grand Cherokee 5.2L and while I am driving the Vehicle Information Center zeros out as it does when the battery is disconnected. It goes to Jan, 12am etc., and then I have to reset it all again. Has anyone ever had this problem before and what could the remedy be? Thanks for your help, John.

My '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L does taht as well, my dad days it is just soemthing that happens every once and a while, doesn't affect the jeep at all.
