I responded the same thing to another question but this used to happen to me too.. Hey! I had a similar problem randomly for years off and on and nobody could figure it out. Then this weird thing happened where it wouldn't accelerate over 40 on the highway and when I took it in the mechanic told me it was a compression cylinder problem and that it's about $2500 to fix. I LOVED my pilot but just had to give it up. Good luck.

I am having the same issue. I can drive around town for a while and it seems to happen after driving and stopping for lights only. I turn off the car & restart it and then off the vsa I can continue till to another stop light. I then have to repeat the process. I went to autozone & they ran the codes and came up with the following: P2279 intake air system leak P2647 vtec oil pressure witch circuit high voltage Anyone find the answer to this problem?

Lydia That's not true I had the same problem with mine and found that the valve become too tight and cause this, all you'll need is valve adjustment and ecu update, it's about $400 at the dealer. I pay them $130 for the update and adjusted the valves myself. they have bulletin for that even that some dealers ill say that they don't know about it.

My 2011 Pilot EXL have the same problems, the engine light, vsa light, atm 4 light and tire pressure light all ON, bring to the dealership, they found out three spark plugs are problems and changed it. The problems solved and the dealership covered the cost.

Why does VSA light come on when a fault exists within the Air intake system or sparkplug replacement? I understand that it may "confuse" the vsa system because of reduced power to the wheels but Geez Louis at first glance and beginning troubleshooting this could really throw you off or cause unnecessary damage/work to the vehicle. Bad system Honda..... engine problems should only illuminate the check engine light. $cam.
