motor froze won't turn over when plugs are out

Asked by letitride_23 Jan 02, 2016 at 09:20 AM about the 2002 Audi A6 3.0 Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving when I smelt antifreeze and then my
car smoked and I pulled over after driving it a mile
back to my house
The next day it wouldn't turn over
I used jumper cable also..no not dead battery
I pulled 5 spark plugs out easily the passenger
back plug was very hard turns all the way out...this
plug had severe damage
So I went counter clockwise turns on the crank
case to check for fluid in the cylinders...
All plugs including the damaged one was dry
There is a fist full-on anti freeze on the ground
directly under that damaged plug
Is the motor shot?...147,057 miles

Head gasket likely blown plus possible other damage indicated by the damage to the spark plug. It most likely will need an engine replacement or rebuild.
