2002 audi a4 3.0 quattro with 107k on it. good buy or not?

I have a Mercedes c230 kompressor that now has a misfire
and come to find out has a design flaw in the head. Ive always
wanted an audi a4, but have been reading up on them and it
sounds like theres quite a few problems im getting kind of
discouraged. Is this a good car to buy or not?

Any car with that mileage will have a few problems. Make sure you check if they have changed the timing belt. I dont know about the 3.0 but the 1.8 ignition coil goes out. Just get it inspected by a mechanic from audi. It cost around $80

YES YES YES! I bought a 2003 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro (6-spd) last april with 110k miles on it so I was exactly in your boat. I have put a WHOPPING 27000 miles on it this year (crazy right??) and it just goes and goes. First of, I think Michael has the right idea but the wrong approach. Don't go to a dealership. They will tell you it is shit just to sell you one of their own. Freakin assholes. Do your research as to the best private audi/vw mechanic in your area and go there. Have them scan the codes and explain them all to you. My car has been absolutely amazing so far. I have had to replace the clutch, brakes, and a temp probe, but I knew all of these repairs were coming when I bought the car. You should know with your Kompressor that parts for german cars run expensive...so I won't get into that, but if that A4 is in good condition, i'd jump on it. It has been a great car!
