gears won't change now car doesn't want to start

Hi I have an Audi a4 tdi 1,8lt last night whilst
driving the gears stopped changing a forced
them into gear 2 whislt car was off after a
few metres car made bad  noise so I
switched it of now it gives me problems
when starting doesn t want to start
immediately.
