just for reference terms what year is your car ? some modals have ingintion issues where if the car is equiped with an imobalizer will get desincted from the key if either of the two die. does your car happen to have a little symble of a key on the dash whe nyou put the car to power on postion?

thanks. Any who one thing that is quite often to happen on audis and vw's is they leave a cooper wire exposed on the start that leads from the points to the solanoid. It tends to rot off. Its comman symtoms is the car will start getting a weak start up and degress to the point were it only starts when it wants to till it finaly gets to the point that the cabel is fully severed and comes off. If you can get under the car check it out its easy to see as the cable in question normaly faces towards the ground and does not require you to remove it till you find out wheather it needs replacement or not. If this is the case you need a complete new starter. This was comman in all audi a4 modals from 1996 till 2004's

UPDATE: OK i got it to work and out of all the bs I've been through all it was is dirty battery terminals that's it and that should have been the first thing I've checked but hey, we all have our retarded moments. Thank you all for the help and advice!
