Audi TT starts then dies
2004 Audi TT starts then immediately shuts down. Will do that
over and over then 30 minutes later starts and runs fine. Security
system shutting it down???
Could be any number of causes- if you don't have a good Audi mechanic, you "Audi" find one now-
quick and simple question here. If your car is equipped with an immobilizer it can do this yes. Does your dash have a icon that looks like a key on it when you put your key in the ignition and move to power on?
Yes, it does have the key icon.
easy fix 1 of 2 methods. first one is to put your key in the ignition turn it to power on (don't crank) leave the car for 10 minutes in this position. after the time is up turn the key back and try and start the car. If this does not work make sure you have your radio code. 2nd option to fix this is remove both the battery cables. Touch them to one another to drain the residual voltage in the system and then wait 15 - 20 minutes. after that put the cables back on the battery put in your radio code then start the car. This should resync your key to your car.
Thats what I was going to say under hook the battery to reset Granny TT
Why is it my 2008 Audi TT went dead tem minutes after starting the engin
i have a audi tt 2004 that occasionally the dashboard light goes off while i was driving and now the engine starts then dies
the older modals had alot of dash issues with the main cluster. it normaly caused security issues so the car would start then turn off.
I have a 2005 TTS Quattro that has had the above described issue for a few months. I’m going to give this a try. My question-will this permanently fix the issue or does it just fix it for the time being so you can get going again? Thanks so much!
Does anyone know the resolution to this? I have a 2014 TT and it keeps stalling after starting. Audi changed the high pressure fuel pump and it's still doing it.... please let me know firstname.lastname@example.org
Try deathjamd method: Leave ignition on without starting for 10 minutes. Then start. Worked after I somehow confused the ignition by using backup key or pulling fuses or something. But it worked.
