Car won't start

My car had a used trans installed and when I got the car
back it ran good for a while then it wouldn't start. The shop
looked at it and got it to start but didn't know why it
wouldn't. It ran good then one day it started but ran real
rough. I had to drive it around til it warmed up then it ran
great. But the next morning it did the same and once it
warmed up it ran great. I got home from work and it just
turns over but won't start. It just cranks over
