Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, my truck has been sitting for about 17 months and i know that the battery has died
so i bought a new one. I just want to know if i have anything major to worry about when i
start it up at the end of the month ( august ) before i parked it in march of 2013 i had if fully

Before you start it, drain gas tank and purge all gas from pump, lines and fuel rail. Put in fresh gas. Check oil and coolant levels should be good to go. After getting up to operating temp, check transmission fluid (if automatic)

Just thought of something else. i had a truck parked for a year and rats or mice, not sure which, had built a nest in air filter. Even had a stash of dog food kibbles in there. Have a look. never can tell.

The tires will have flat spots that will work out in a few miles, it will bump bump for a little while but no worries....unless the tires are very old and have been in sun.i.e. Inspect tires
