Low to no pressure at start with knock sound

I have a 99 GMC Sierra 1500 4.8l.  past couple
days when I first start it there will be atapping
sound and the oil pressure gauge will be at zero.
After a few seconds the oil pressure will rise and
the tapping sound disappears. Only does it at
startup. Runs fine after. What could be the issue?

Change oil and add some Lucas Engine Oil Stabilizer to it worked for me when I had the same problem.
