hey i put a amp and sub in my gmc serria 1998 xl cab

i got power to my amp but my sub will on play my music real low an wont turn up to start pumping what do i do

Check your settings on the amp and radio.is it a sub amp.if not turn the filter to full setting and see if it gets louder.it could. Be a couple of different things. Speaker wires touching,adjusting the amp,speaker blown or hooked up wrong.I need to know more to help you trouble shoot. What kind of amp and speaker.are they new and not blown.are you getting any sound,try another speaker to see if its the speaker. Give me more info and ill tell you what's wrong
