Yes, check the crank sensor, it is located behind the crank pulley.

There's no crank sensor on 94 I've looked everywhere, it has an ingintion modugel, coil, distributor cap and rotor button on with a pk up coil inside distributor, I could be very wrong but that's what I've found

OK spanky, I contacted my friend, he works at the local GMC dealer service department and he says that for 1994 there were two different configurations for the 4.3. The 4.3 Z and the 4.3 W; he is not sure which, but one did not have a crankshaft position sensor. So you must have the one without the sensor, and now we know that something else is causing the problem in your truck. According to him the problem can be in the connector to the Ignition Control Module, use a multi-meter to check for continuity and any drop of voltage. I hope this can help.

Will do I'll have to round a multimeter up, I was going back over it again and I thought it was gettin fuel but when cranking no fuel is coming out of injectors

and a big THANKS to you Mr. Jorge an Mr. Beatupchevy i really APPRECIATE YOUR HELP, will update when I check it with multimeter

see if the injectors have any voltage when the key is in the "run" position , then check for pulse with a noid light when cranking ,

Spanky, you are welcome. One more thing, in your original posting you mentioned no spark and now you are saying that no fuel is coming from injectors. Check to see if fuel pump is working and also check the fuel filter; the problem may be there instead. Post update.

Yes sir Mr. Jorge i was almost sure it was gettin fuel, I guess I was wrong, but still no spark from plug wire when jumping, started looking at the injectors, they were dry, watched as wife turned ingintion over no spray no nothing, that's what I get for assuming it was gettin fuel, sorry I thought I'd checked it good, fliter is open, can hear pump kick on but go right back off, the pink wire on coil is hot when key on when u turn the key over the wire has no power, not sure the name of sensor it's on pass. side of carb, 3 wire plug white shows very dim when key turn on but goes out when u crank

Another call to my GMC friend, there is the possibility that the starter switch is malfunctioning and this can cause the no spark problem, intermittently or permanent. He suggests to check the ignition switch fuses in the relay box inside the engine compartment designated IGN A and IGN B; they should be the rectangular fuses to the far end of the box, number 3 and 4. Just for reference he tells me that 1 is the lighting fuse and 2 the battery fuse, then you have 3 and 4. Last, the switch itself may be faulty. Nothing sure in your case but he has experienced this problem. Let's not give up!

Checked all that, finally rembered on 92 s-10 i changed pickup coil on it and worked fine, put new pickup coil on my 94 now cranks ,but when u give it fuel it stalls like it is getting to much what is going on mow

Mr. Jorge u got any ideas on it starting ok an idle alright bit spits, spudders, pop, while accelerating, if u press pedal fast over half throttle it will stall

Spanky, my friend told me that it is difficult to correctly diagnose a problem long distance however, if you can, check the fuel pressure, it must be above 59ish at key on and hold above 55 for 10 min. The problem can be caused by a vacuum leak, a defective or dirty mass air flow sensor as well, he says.

Will do MR. JORGE, again thanks for the help, sir, I DO APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AN MOST OF YOUR TIME AN PATIENCE with me, it truly says something about a man that'll take time out of his life an busy world to answer some ole broke down poor man from MISSISSIPPI THANK Y SIR AN I'M HAPPY IT'S RUNNING, I'll figure it OUT or let me take a step back THE GOOD LORD WILL TAKE CARE OF ME AS HE AWLAYS HAS, will post update asap, THANKS AGAIN MR.JORGE

Got timming set and had to play with idle just alittle but I believe that if i had put distributor back n right it would have been fixed last week, the problem was pk up coil
