My tranny will shift a little hard from first to second
if I'm just cruising but if I let go of the gas pedal at
about 10 15ish it shifts smooth and I'm on my way.
If I get on it it chirps from first to second and keeps
on moving like you would expect..it's a short bed
step side GMC 1500 sle...auto transmission

there's a problem with the tranny . take it to a shop see if they can do anything besides a rebuild ,
