Transmission wont shift

Put 3 quarts of transmission fluid in it. just purchased it back after little over a year.was
running perfect when i sold it . folks said it was shifting when i bought it but it is not. what
do i do before i attemt to replace transmission?

does it have the right amount of fluid in it did u change the fluid and filter are ur engine vacuum lines in good condition
