Put a little dialectic grease on the shaft, and push it down into place. The shaft must be rusted up pretty good. It only goes on one way.

Might have to rotate it until the flat spots line up and it should drop right in.

After all parts were replaced I disconnected both battery cables and touched them together per a mechanics suggestion to "clear the computer ". Would a dirty egr cause this? Please help.

Replaced fuel filter, replaced distributer cap, replaced rotor. Ran like a top. Drove it to work this morning. Passed another vehicle and Yukon died and now won't start

Have to constantly bump start it when shifting down. Thank god it's a standard. Have changed plugs,wires, cap and rotor. Tried running high test gas and have tried injector cleaner.
