How to troubleshoot the cruise control in my 1991 GMC sierra C1500 Stepside???

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Simply does not work. I've had GM vehicles with cruise controls, so I know how to operate the cruise. Just need the steps to begin troubleshooting why it's not working.

did you check the CC fuse & relay,may be a bad switch.

I've checked all of the fuses under the dash. Could this fuse be located somewhere under the hood. Also, Everything works on the turn signal arm, wipers, Cruise, High Beams and Blinkers except Cruise Control. Any tricks on finding out where the issue may be located before buying unnecessory parts.
