I have a1990 Ford Mustang lx5.0 and the gas is leaking out between the head and header at the#1 spark plug what would cause this to happen

Float level too high in the carb, leaking intake valve on number 1, bad gasket on the header to head. If your sure it is gasoline, make sure you clean it off before driving it, you might just go up in flames.
