I need to replace the heated mirror glass on the passenger side of a 2006 GMC
Envoy XL power side view mirror. I have the replacement part ordered. I am
hoping I dont have to remove the whole assembly just to change a glass. It
looks like the edge of the mirror housing is a separate piece. Removing that
piece would make replacement easier

replaced it easily. The old mirror can be GENTLY pried out of the "snap-on" fitting that holds it in place. The power terminals can be easily slipped off of the male terminals on the new mirror. Once the terminals are connected, the mirror can be GENLTY snapped back into place.
