03 GMC Envoy 4.2 no start. No signal @ coils, Is this a PCM problem?

Have you tested crankshaft and camshaft sensors? Any check engine light?


Maybe, but like mentioned above I'd be looking at sensor problems first, if you don't have a scanner, either buy a good one, make sure it has live data and freeze frame capabilities. Or if your in the right area some parts store will rent one out.

Yes, both crank & cam sensors are providing feedback.

They are not suppose to show feedback, you should see a good clean signal pulse on both of the sensors, if it is showing any "feedback" or "static" check the wiring for chafing then if that is good replace the sensors.

sorry, wrong word, pulse is what I should have said.


Ok so next check to see if the ECM is sending out a signal on the spout wire at the ECM for each coil, if no signal the you have an ECM problem, if you have an spout signal then you have a wiring issue.

no signal at ECM, must be ECM. Checked continuity, all spout wires ck out.
