I have a 1991 ford ranger that isn't starting it's
getting power to the truck but when I go to start it it
doesn't click or nothing I put a new starter on it an it
still does the same thing what would this be
IS THE IGN SWITCH SENDING POWER TO THE SOLENOID (S)LITTLE STUD...?AND POWER OUT OF SOLENOID WITHE KEY ON START FOR THAT CHECK K
WHEN YOU TOUCH BATTERY LUG TO THE S TERMINAL IT SHOULD TURN OVER STARTER..IF SO THEN THE SOLENOID IS BAD EASY FIX...ALSO JUST BECAUSE ITS GETTIND POWER ELSEWHERE..IT CAN STILL BE THE BATTER/TERMINALS/AND GROUND.CLEAN ALL AND TEST BATTER VOLTAGE WITH EVERYTHING OFF THEN TURN ON THE HEAD LIGHTS..IF THE BATTERY VOLTAGE DROPS MORE THAN 1 1/2 VOLTS THE BATTERY MIGHT BE BAD..ANYWAY WELL FIGURE IT OUT..LET US/ME KNOW...K
Thanksill try it out in the morning
Now I've put a new battery on it an it won't get power unless I got it hooked up to a pair of jumper cables to another car then all the lights come on but still nothing
