I have a 1990 Dodge Ram that the 318 needs to be pulled. Can I replace the 318 with a 1995 318 and if so will the wire be the same for all sensors and will there be any benefits with the newer 318

My motor has rusted out freeze plugs in back of block and has high
miles...does the newer 318 have more horsepower and the same sensors. Are
there any benefits to the newer motor , it has 150,000 miles on it

This you can do since both engines are controlled by a OBD1 computer. You just may have to do some swapping of parts to get the same set-up as original. Whats the benefit? The newer engine going in, is in better shape.

You will get better gas mileage with the new 318 engine but for the most parts it the same good luck ben
