I have been informed by my local Dodge dealer that LED lights on both front doors of my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT were discontinued by Daimler- Chrysler in 2003. I purchased this car used in October of 2006 from them. I have 1 LED with a green glow on my driver`s side window toggle switch. There also are prisms for the driver`s side door lock toggle switch and the passenger side door lock and window toggle switches but missing the LEDs. Am I being fed a line by the dealer, or do I have a legitimate reason to requet that the 3 remaining LEDs be repaired.
That doesn't sound correct. How could they have built cars in 2005 with parts that were discontinued in 2003? Due the recency of your purchase, I would tell them they need to replace these. If they are actually missing parts that were standard in the car, it should be included in your purchase. However, if they were not included in the 2005 model, then you do not have a legitimate gripe. You may want to call a local competitor and see what they say.
