Cruise control

My cruise control never worked and the
other day is starting clicking on on its own
and rubbing up and the check engine light
would come on the same time within two
seconds to kick back off and now it's
stalling out stop signs and red lights. All
computer check on it when the check engine
light was on and it said it could be the PCM
does it sound like my computer needs to be
reflashed
