Transmission doesn't work

Asked by 253kyle Dec 20, 2016 at 06:55 PM about the 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan ES FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan I'm
looking at for someone and am kind of at a
loss where to go. No gears work. Reverse,
Drive, 3 and L do not work. It's not in lymph
mode. It just doesn't want to go. I can kind
of feel it go into gear when you shift the
column but just doesn't move. It has fluid so
that's not the problem. The output speed
sensor is broken off but I don't think that
would cause the problem. What am I
missing here?

Could be as simple as the linkage from the shifter to the transmission housing has broken.

Was this problem ever solved? Having same problem on my 97 grand caravan. Wife was driving it and started having an electrical problem. Then the transmission simply acted like it had been suddenly put into neutral. Hasn't moved since. Any help would be amazing!
