Asked by Kris Jan 08, 2016 at 02:35 PM about the 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT Wagon FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My mom has a pt cruiser and sometimes it
will not start an to get it stated we have to
unhook the battery terminal an loosen the
gas cap an it still takes a few turns to get it
started anybody got any idea's thanks

1 Answer

When you loosen the gas cap does it suck air in? If so there is an issue with the EVAP system. A hose may be plugged up or kinked or the carbon canister may be plugged up.
