My cruiser overheats only at highway speeds 65-75 mph why?

Asked by Guru3G2S May 23, 2017 at 07:13 PM about the 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Wagon FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can drive 16 miles to work with no problem. 55 to 60 mph. When I get on the
highway and get up to 65 to 75 mph it only takes a few minutes to over heat.
Normally runs about halfway on the gauge.
