Won't crank over won't start

Went to get gas put car in reverse at gas
station. It died now won't star or even crank
over help plz  tried fises, key dance. Gauge
test for code said it was timing belt maybe
but would that make it just die in reverse and
treedid and not sfart

You can pull the timing belt cover back to see if belt broke or loose.
