overheating and bubbling

Asked by Mar 07, 2017 at 09:40 AM about the 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a brand new radiator cap, brand new cooling
fan, and all my fluids were flushed about 3 months
ago yet my car is doing this again. It has oil. I'm not
sure about coolant. What else could cause this to
happen?

You may have a bad head gasket, or the thermostat needs replacing. Best check the coolant level.

Blown headgaskets is about the only other thing if the coolant is full and all of the electronics are operating.
