92 ford ranger automatic transmission problem

1st and 2nd gear work fine but as soon as
it shifts in to 3rd gear around 40mph it just
revs up really high and won't engage into
gear please let me know what the problem
could be

That's ur transmission clutch or torque converter going bad

Alright thanks man much appreciated any idea on where I could get them and how much am I looking at spending?

I would first take it to a transmission shop for a free estimate and second opinion
