How far can a 5-speed Probe go (number of miles)?

Question type: General

I am considering the purchase of a 1992 5-speed Probe GL that already has about 120,000 miles on it; I was wondering how many more miles I might be able to expect--both the average and the maximum possible for this model. I do not know how well the mechanics have been maintained--the Carfax report has no maintenance records, and the condition of the paint and the interior is not very impressive, but when I drove it the engine, clutch, and transmission all seemed to be in good shape. (On the other hand, the parking brake is totally shot.)

every car is different, no telling how much is left on it really. keep the maintenance done, and change the timing belt if its due and it should last for ever

Perhaps I should clarify my question: I would like to know the maximum number of miles other people have been able to achieve with a first generation Probe. I am looking for SPECIFIC information about the real experiences of real Probe owners.

SPECIFICALLY, you could get a million miles, or it could fall apart on the way home every car is different, and no i don't mean every model is different, every car is different

I have a '92 probe with 2.2L engine. It presently has over 330,000 miles and still running very well without issues.
