Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have a 92 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible with 21,000 original miles that I need to sell.  What price would you ask?  I know it is worth more than the "standard" resale because of the low miles and other aspects like one owner always garaged etc..

Between $10,000 and $15,000 is what they usually go for.

Pricing should be around 12,000 for a '92 LX 5.0 in this good condition with 21,000 original miles also its convertible goes it that weekend cruiser to the beach feel. In this depressed economy you gave a ceiling of 12 because the more you ask the harder and more time it will take to sell.

do you even realize that a v8 fox body goes for $4k needing body work and a transmission?

Everything about your car makes it worth more than the average 92 LX 'Vert; the low mileage, one owner, always garaged etc... That being said, I just did a search on it's value as a trade in(without these factors added in) and it came up about $2,200... Take into account it's excellent low mileage condition, I would say that to an individual and not as a trade in, it could be worth 3x that.. Around $7,000, possibly more if some one is looking for this particular model... A car is worth what ever you can get some one to pay for it...

You could try auctioning it on ebay. set the reserve price for $9500 (the extra $500 is to cover selling/listing fees)

That's a thought... I've never sold anything on ebay but I'd probably reach a larger market out there. Thanks!

what something is worth and what a person is willing to pay for a 19 year old vehicle is the answer here.and no im not crazy.yes its a good looking car for its age,in fact it looks to good.

"In fact it looks too (not to) good." If you're implying that there is something dishonest going on here, you couldn't be further from the truth. It looks so good because it's been garaged its entire life. But what you think really is no matter. The fact is that the car is sold as of this weekend, at our price. Thanks for everyone's input.

Don't pay him any mind. The going rate is the going rate, regardless of what Papa wants to believe. There's a line of separation between ideology and reality.

NO,not implying that anything is dishonest.said it was a good looking car.hope you got your asking price.

Excellent condition, stock fox bodies go between $5000 - $7000 in the Detroit Metro area. A convertible will fetch about $2000 more. It's all in the condition. I recently saw a 1990 GT convertible for sale locally. 48K, original owner, pristine (original) paint and interior with all the service history go for $11000. It was up for sale only 2 days. I would consider any car, be it an LX or GT, in this condition will fetch to $ even in a poor economy and will at least hold its price if left stock. Possible will appreciate.

i JUST PAID 8,800 FOR A 1992 1/2 LIMITED ED 5.0 RED/WHITE CONV. iQUESS i PAID A DECENT PRICE BEAUTIFUL CAR WITH 5SPEED
