problems with car

some times my car starts and other times it wont even "turn over"
i wold like to know what it is!!
could it be my starter or altenator?

Here's a short list of the items I would check if it were my car. -Your battery terminals to see if they're loose. -The Condition of your battery cables (they are cheap to replace). -You can have your starter and alternator tested at your local parts store (for free), but it may require that they are first removed. -The age and condition of your spark plug wires and spark plugs (they are also relatively cheap to replace).
