Car slows down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I take the car to the highway it drives
okay for about two minutes and then I
can't acelerate when I put the gas down
and the rpm stay below 3000. Even on 5th
gear the car can't go above 100kph. When
this happens the check engine light comes
on. If I park and wait the car will work again
for a few min on the highway before same
problem. Any ideas?
