What type of engine upgrades are available for 2004 Thunderbird
I am looking to increase the horsepower of my 2004 Thunderbird and need advise on best way to accomplish. Is it an engine swap, modify the engine, or something else. Thank you for your thoughts!
DEW98 platform involved in this project for Ford, same as Lincoln LS don't do an engine change! the value will be ruined you have the good year 2004-2005 based on the Jaguar 3.9 designed engine. I will always suggest YOU do whats best for you because there's all kinds of silly advice... posted. That said I suggest checking into a mild supercharger application decent packaging 30 -40% increase and when you attempt to sell it everything's removable we (Ford) built several supercharged and turbocharged 3.9s as an exercise. Watson engineering was involved..I recall Roush did some development too
Why didn't you just buy the Ferrari in the first place?!
There are some good performance chips that you can get for $300-$400 and get a good hp boost as well as mpg. Check the speed shops and parts houses.
