Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 T Bird is not blowing cold air. Can  I replace refrigerant, can regular repair shop replace it, or only a Ford Dealer?

Use 134A and if you're handy you can do it yourself.

Just remember, there's a reason you lost freon in the first place. At the auto parts store you can buy 134A with dye in it to see where your system is leaking.

They are replacing the compressor today. Gotta have cold air, Thanks for your help.

All cars from 1994 and up use R134A. from 1993 and down is R12 which no one sales any more.

In speaking of a/c freon replacement... The low pressure ports is located on the compressor, behind an bottom access panel in left front wheel well. Best serviced after removing tire..on to a jack for saftey.
