Dash lights blink in and out check charging system and battery light

Asked by Brenner64 Aug 18, 2018 at 09:45 PM about the 2004 Ford Taurus LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Anyway I think I pulled the battery out to Jumping
to put in another car to see if the car would start
and I don't know somebody hooked it up wrong or
what but when I got back into my car it ran fine for
a few days and that and then my light started
blinking on and off my dash lights like the gas
gauge and all that my blinkers work and stuff but
stuff and so I the battery ended up blowing and
blowing the battery acid out of it was no good I
had to get rid of it and the only battery I had at the
time to put into car to get back home was a bad
battery so I put it in and when I stopped it it did not
start again so the next day I was stuck without a
car again so I did go get a battery it was a
maintenance free battery I'd rather for about a
week and a half and now today at the light started
blinking on and off again. And started smelling the
batteries like it was really hot and getting ready to
blow what could this be I'm desperate please help
only Transportation I got and I'll be stuck without a
ride to and from work.??????

I would check your cables and battery’s post, also you may have improper jump it at some time and that could cause that to happen to, I would just clean everything around the battery and if that doesn’t work then go see a mechanic
