security problem on my 2002 ford taurus

i have a problem with my 2002 ford taurus....after i drove to and from
yesterday....i removed d negative trminal of my battery and placed it
back...after doing that i went to start it...the alarm was sounding...all d light
in d dashboard tripped on and off....i guessed the car thought it was stolen i
have two keys fro d dealership...a friend advised me to toll it to ford
dealership...i did that and d engineer told me it would me $200 for
diagnostic check....alone...pls i need help it sounds like a rip off am just a
college student

thanks i towed it cos i called my insurance to the dealership...they told they will work on it on monday but i am not willing to spend that ...tho the dealership set its not the keys..that the car thought it was stolen....also i am in marshall mn dont know of any locksmith

ok am back...i paid $197 for all...ford dealer said the seller bought an after market remote starter....the disable it permanently....programmed my 2 keys again......now am good to go....i guessed i was ripped off cos 173$ was workmanship
